In previous articles, I covered how to install any Ruby version using either [mise](https://www.jvrc.ca/install-any-ruby-version-in-minutes-with-mise/) or [rv](https://www.jvrc.ca/install-any-ruby-version-in-seconds-using-rv/).

If you’re [already using mise](https://www.jvrc.ca/install-any-ruby-version-in-minutes-with-mise/), you can install it by running this command: `mise use aqua:spinel-coop/rv` or by adding a line in your config.toml file:

```javascript
[tools]
"aqua:spinel-coop/rv" = "latest"
```

After that, you can start using any of the [rv commands](https://github.com/spinel-coop/rv/?ref=jvrc.ca#usage), for example:

- `rv run myscript.rb`
- `rvx hanami new`

It works out of the box because [Aqua](https://aquaproj.github.io/?ref=jvrc.ca) tools can be used natively in mise; the [aqua registry](https://github.com/aquaproj/aqua-registry?ref=jvrc.ca) is compiled into the mise binary at release. The mise documentation provides [more details](https://mise.jdx.dev/dev-tools/backends/aqua.html?ref=jvrc.ca#aqua-backend).

The next step would be for Mise and rv to share a set of Rubies without duplication. There is already an [open issue](https://github.com/spinel-coop/rv/issues/410?ref=jvrc.ca) in the rv repository to create a plugin for that.

If you are a mise user, give it a try. I would love to get any feedback, questions, or insights.

À la prochaine!
